Lest selbst, ich hab mich grad kaputt gelacht beim lesen:

This post covers a few problems.  First, let me explain the situation:
I was in a group running Tomb of the Vulture Lord.  We were on the 5th boss, and were excited to try to take him down.  Less than 30 minutes into our attempt, we received the notice that we were being purged.  We got excited since we haven’t been purged before, so we set up the fire trap and waited for them to attempt it.  Once there was only three minutes left and no sign of destro, we started running through the instance to find it empty.  We got three lousy purple bags instead of gold bags because they decided not to fight us.
We went back to attempt the boss again, but shortly were purged again.  We decided to skip the traps and forcefully went after our attackers, wiping them about 6 or 7 times before the timer ran out.  However, the timer ran out, and we didn’t get the notice for a loot roll.  Nobody got anything for the successful defense.  I sent in a CSR report at that time.
Right after that purge was over, another started again after a couple minutes.  We immediately started running towards the entrance, but found not a single destro in the instance.  Someone had initiated a purge, then promptly left, causing us grief for waiting around, not being able to attack a boss for fear of a wipe.  Once the timer was over, we again got no loot roll.
I put in a violation report so I could get a CSR to respond soon (most of the time it takes weeks).  He pretty much told me screw you.  Here’s the conversation, transcribed from the attached screenshot.
CSR [Fiper] tells you: Greetings Slabmcbeefy, this is CSR Fiper.  Were you trying to report players for a violation?
You tell [Fiper]: just a sec
You tell [Fiper]: ok, Sait wasn’t the person who violated
You tell [Fiper]: our group is in VL, and we had a destro come in to initiate the purge
You tell [Fiper]: then he left
You tell [Fiper]: so we couldn’t kill bosses for fear of wiping
You tell [Fiper]: and this was the third time we have been purged
You tell [Fiper]: the last two times we got no loot
You tell [Fiper]: and the rist and third times were both purge fakes

CSR [Fiper] tells you: I am very sorry for the inconvenience but unfortunately we are unable to investigate players for a violation without player names.
You tell [Fiper]: well, can I get transferred to a CSR that doesn’t deal with character violations?
You tell [Fiper]: I wasn’t able to get the destro’s name
You tell [Fiper]: we got left out of two loot rolls, and are pretty pissed because we had to just sit around and do nothing
You tell [Fiper]: we want this made right
CSR [Fiper] tells you: I deal with all sorts of issues. Unfortunately, in game CSRs are unable to change game mechanics. If you would like to see the mechanics of the instance changed, you may want to submit feedback to see if the developers will put in a fix.
You tell [Fiper]: well, how do we get our loot?
You tell [Fiper]: it wasn’t game mechanics that screwed us out of our loot
CSR [Fiper] tells you: Unfortunately, since the loot never made it into your bag we are unable to restore it. I am very sorry for the inconvenience this causes.
You tell [Fiper]: WE NEVER GOT TO ROLL
You tell [Fiper]: the purge pq finished around 1 minute left, then it disappeared
You tell [Fiper]: it was bugged, and we got screwed out of the chance to get loot
CSR [Fiper] tells you: Understood. Unfortunately, without loot making it into your bags we are unable to verify it was received and therefore are unable to restore it. If you would like to see this changed, please submit feedback.
You tell [Fiper]: we have screenshots of the pq ending early
CSR [Fiper] tells you: If you believed the issue was caused by a bug within the mechanics I encourage you to submit a bug report so our QA team can investigate the problem.
You tell [Fiper]: bull$%%%, your bugs screwed us over
CSR [Fiper] tells you: Unfortunately, we are unable to accept player screen shots.  Is there anything else I may be able to assist you with?
You tell [Fiper]: if this doesn’t get fixed soon, we’ll never get our loot
You tell [Fiper]: dude, can’t you pull up the records of us getting purged, and see we got screwed over?
You tell [Fiper]: we haven’t even left the instance yet
You tell [Fiper]: we wasted an hour of time and got no loot because of a bug, and I know you can fix it because I’ve seen other CSRs do it
CSR [Fiper] tells you: I am very sorry for the inconvenience but we are unable to verify loot was received without you having received it in your bag. Since there is nothing else I may be able to assist you with I must take my leave to assist other players.  Thank you for playing Dark Age of Camelot. Happy Hunting?

I was pretty furious about what had happened.  Especially note that he closed the convo with DAOC, which made me think he didn’t know what he was doing.  A party member and guildie put in another violation report with the name of the CSR as the violator.  He got a reply for a CSR supervisor, and directed him to me.  Here’s the conversation we had.
CSR [Otlan] tells you: Greetings this is CSR Supervisor Otlan, I am here to discuss your concerns with CSR Fiper. Do you have a moment to discuss this issue with me?
You tell [Otlan]: hey, been waiting for ya
You tell [Otlan]: by the way, thanks for trying to sort this out
You tell [Otlan]: Do you need any info on the situation, or did Celevra explain it well enough?
CSR [Otlan} tells you: My pleasure, I have reviewed your interactions with CSR Fiper and while he may have given you an improper closing for another game we support, the gist of his information is accurate, as much as I wish it were not the case.
You tell [Otlan]: so there’s no way we can get our loot from the bugged purges?
You tell [Otlan]: also, he improperly closed the interaction with me before I was able to respond
CSR [Otlan] tells you: Looking at the data I am authorized to use in this situation, I can only direct you to submit a bug report and also submit feedback to the game designers. In game support is not able to verify, replicate or resolve bug issues.
You tell [Otlan]: sigh, ok
You tell [Otlan]: well this is going on the forums so Mythic know what is going on with the purge system, and also that the loot system is bugged
You tell [Otlan]: thanks for giving me the info straight forward
CSR [Otlan] tells you: Please do, and also make sure you submit a bug report so that our QA staff has your account and your character data to work with in order to best replicate the problem.
You tell [Otlan]: If Mythic keeps this up they’re going to be losing my $15/month
You tell [Otlan]: will do
CSR [Otlan] tells you: My pleasure, I hate being the messenger and I wish I could just hand out goodies.
You tell [Otlan]: lol, me too.  They should give you that power.
You tell [Otlan]: well, I won’t take up any more of your time.  Thanks again for trying to talk to me.
CSR [Otlan] tells you: Anytime, again, sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Best of luck in the future and I will alert CSR Fiper that a Dark Age closing will gain him 20 lashes with a cat o nine tails!

That conversation made me not angry at the CSRs anymore, but then turned my rage to Mythic and EA for not giving CSRs more power to fix problems.  As it sits right now, I have not had a single problem fixed since 1.3 has come out.  I have gotten „too bad“ replies to everything, and I realize now it is not because of CSRs being clueless, but a serious lack of permissions.
That was just one of the aspects I had a problem with; the others are with the purging system.  It’s just not cool for a single destro to halt the progression of an entire group’s dungeon for 30 minutes.  There either needs to be a requrement of being in a full group to try to purge, or the timer needs to disappear when the purging group leaves the instance.
The third problem I have is with the loot.  If it’s a mechanic that the defending group can only get one set of bags while in a certain instance, then it is completely unfair for the defenders because they waste time with no loot.  If it’s a bug, then it needs to get fixed.
The fourth problem I have is with the bug of purges only happening with one group.  There was another guild’s group running the instance.  We asked them if they had gotten purged, and they had not.  So we were stuck with every single purge.
So in conclusion, Yall need to fix your bugs and give CSRs the power to make things right, because as they sit right now, they can’t hardly do anything.  If this keeps up, I have no other content to go through that I haven’t already done (or isn’t available like Warlord and the king), so I will end my subscription and play another game that works.
